PASO ROBLES BASKETBALL CLINIC
PASO ROBLES BASKETBALL CLINIC
Our Fall Ball Basketball Clinic is all about having fun, working hard, and being a great teammate! Through exciting drills, skill-building games, and teamwork activities, players will develop their dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense in a supportive and energetic environment.
Week 3 presented great opportunities for growth and improvement. Players were challenged to slow down, focus on the details, and turn good effort into great execution. While we’re here to build basketball skills and fundamentals, our bigger goal is to help each player grow as an individual—showing attention to detail, positive attitude, consistent effort, and respect in everything they do.
Things we hope players and parents walked away with from Week 3:
Growth happens when we stay patient and trust the process.
Attention to detail separates good players from great ones.
Respect for coaches, teammates, and the game sets the tone for success.
For Week 4 (Monday, October 13, 6:30–7:45 PM at Paso Robles High School Practice Gym), we’ll continue progressing through our finishing series and introduce a new drill: The UConn Drill—a high-tempo exercise that develops game-speed finishes, balance, and focus under pressure.
Please have your player watch this short clip before practice:

Bring a basketball, athletic shoes/clothes, and a water bottle.
Action Item:
Take a few minutes to watch the UConn Drill together before Monday. Understanding the rhythm and pace will help players come in confident and ready to compete.
Week 2 was another great step forward—players worked hard on Kangaroo Rolls and began to see how footwork, balance, and finishing techniques come together in game situations. We’re proud of the effort, energy, and willingness to learn that everyone brought.
Things we hope players and parents walked away with from Week 2:
Footwork and balance are the foundation of finishing.
Small details—like landing soft and rising tall—make a big difference.
Confidence grows when we practice with focus and intent.
For Week 3 (Monday, October 6, 6:30–7:45 PM at Paso Robles High School Practice Gym), we’ll keep building on these skills by adding Torpedo Rolls into our progressions, while reinforcing the River Drill and Kangaroo Rolls.

Week 1 was a fantastic start—players came ready to learn, and we saw great progress right away. The energy in the gym set the tone for what we know will be a strong fall session.
Things we hope players and parents walked away with from Week 1:
Controlling your controllables — focusing on attitude and effort.
Giving your best in every drill, scrimmage, and rep.
Understanding that these habits matter not only in basketball, but in school and life as a whole.
For Week 2 (Monday, September 29, 6:30–7:45 PM at Paso Robles High School Practice Gym), we’ll build on this foundation and introduce a couple new drills. To prepare, please watch these short clips with your child:
